Analysis of three teen movies with different audiences

love and basketball trailer -romantic movie

                                          The wood trailer- comedy movie

You got served trailer- dance movie

The hunger games2: catching fire- Action movie

                                                      Coach carter-sports movie

For all of the above films, teenagers between the ages of 16-19 are the main audience, this is clear to tell because of the cast of the movies who are predominantly teenagers are shown dealing with situations relatable to teens today. These situations include: Relationships, sports, career choices, peer pressure etc. in this post I have incorporated various genres of teen movies which are: Rom-coms, action, sports, comedy. it is clear that production companies realise that in order to attract teenagers to watch their movies  they must hire certain famous actors/actresses as not  only do they improve the quality of acting within the movie but they also act as role models for teenagers today and so they hold a huge influence over teens. Also the settings used in these films are appealing to teenagers because they either relate realism and real life struggles they have to endure as teens or they include a fantasy world type setting where Characters such as 'Catnis everdeen' connote a particular brave and courageous personality that most teenagers wish they had.
