Teen films -  A genre targeted at teens and young adults, most of which are based on the important aspects and interests of teens.

 Such as :

• coming of age, 
• first love, 
• rebellion, 
• conflict with parents, 
• teen angst or

Sub-Genre

 The Teen Drama Genre has many sub-genres which range from:
Teen:

•                            Romance

Romance films are usually love stories that centre on passion, emotion, and therefore the romantic involvement of the main characters.

•                                       Rom-com

    A romantic comedy film is a mix of romance and comedy.

       

                                           

                 

                 

• comedy

These films are designed to entertain the audience through amusement, and frequently work by exaggerating characteristics of the real world for a comedic effect.

                                                                        

•                        Tragic-Comedy

                                   A mix of tragedy and comedy

• Horror

Horror Films are usually unsettling films created to scare us, and to invoke our hidden worst fears, usually during  an alarming, surprising ending, while at the same time also fascinating and amusing us in a cathartic experience. Horror films a majority of the time centre on; the dark aspect of life, the things seen as tabu, and events seen as strange and frightful.

                                        

                                                                      

•                            chick-flick

Based mostly around romantic comedies and tearjerker  movies  concerning  family crises and emotional catharsis, some traditional  sob stories and fantasy-action adventures, every now and then there are with foul-spoken and empowered females, and feminine bonding situations involving families, mothers, daughters, children, and women's problems. These films are typically told from the feminine P-O-V.

• Comedic Horror

        A mix of horror and comedy

• Adventure

stories based on new experiences or exotic locations.  adventure  films are  designed to supply an action-filled, energetic experience for the film viewer. instead of the most emphasis being violence the viewer of an adventure films will live through the travels, conquests, explorations, creation of empires, struggles and things that confront the protagonists.
