What happens at the start of a film?

At the start of a film we see that the film begins with open credits in which distributors and the company is shown through a 5-10 second advert enabling us as the audience to know the production team behind the film that will be watched also advertisements of the different distributors and productions can be shown in order to promote the other movies that they have out using their company.

Examples of production companies

Once we are shown this we see that a warning sign is presented to alert the audience of what they are agreeing to when they watch the movie and the terms and conditions of watching the movie which usually lets us known the age range of the film whether it is parental guidance or not.

After this we see glimpses of scenery from the different scenes that arise throughout the movie where we are then shown characters that play a major role in the movie are credited. showing the whole production team and who was involved from editors, producers, writers, directors, executive producers, make up crew and much more.

Once all of this is shown we are then left with the title of the film shown to us in bold which immediately grabs as our attention as we known that the movie is about to start.
